Patrick Pilege earned his Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha where he played college football. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT). Patrick is the President and owner of Optimum Fitness. He worked for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a content expert, lectured for the NSCA’s National Symposiums and was a member of their Exam Development Committee in addition to contributing to the NSCA’s text books.  Patrick is published with the NSCA Journal of Strength and Conditioning. He is a former Strength and Conditioning Coach from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Creighton University and played an integral role in Creighton’s teams winning MVC Championships in basketball, baseball and soccer.  He has helped produce numerous professional athletes in the NBA, NFL, MLB and MLS.  Patrick’s high energy approach and cutting edge style of training makes him a sought after expert in the fitness industry.

Sherrie Pilege is the Vice President and co-owner of Optimum Fitness. She specializes in Corporate Wellness design, implementation and management.  In addition to running the business at Optimum Fitness, she also acts as a wellness consultant and provides wellness lectures and presentations to local area businesses.  Please contact Sherrie for more information regarding Optimum Fitness Services and New Client Consultations.

Jon Dickey earned his Bachelor of Science in Applied Human and Sport Physiology from Wayne State College. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA. A well-rounded athlete, Jon played football at Morningside College in Sioux City, IA, where he earned Academic Top 10 honors both as a freshman and a sophomore. He transferred to Wayne State College his Junior year and ran track & field, breaking school records in the indoor Heptathlon and outdoor Decathlon while earning NSIC All Conference Honors.

Craig Kersten earned his Bachelors Degree in Physical Education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha where he served as an Assistant Swim Coach for the UNO Masters Swim Program. He is a Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT). Since 1990, he has coached all ages from 6 years to senior adults at the Millard Aquatic Club, where he co-founded the Millard Masters Swimming Program. He has trained Olympic trial qualifiers and state record holders in his career and also served as an Assistant Coach for the Millard North High School Swim Team for several years.

Zach MolacekZach Molacek earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Human and Sport Physiology and Masters in Exercise Science from Wayne State College in 2005 and 2007, respectively.  He is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the NSCA.  While at Wayne State, Zach was a Graduate Assistant for the Exercise Science department, and was also a member of the football and track & field teams.  He was a 3x All Conference First Team Running Back (2004, 2005, 2006), NSIC Offensive Player of the Year (2006), and WSC Male Athlete of the Year (2006).

Brian Gohr earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Wayne State College 2003 and his Masters Degree from Northwest Missouri State University in December 2004. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA. Brian was the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Northwest Missouri State University Intercollegiate Athletics from 2003 – 2006, Two-time Nebraska State Powerlifting Champion (1997,1998), four year letter winner – Wayne State Football (1999-2003) and Football Lifter of the Year (2002, 2003).

Jon Grady earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska Omaha in 2001. A full-time Fraud Investigator for First National Bank, he received a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certificate through the NSCA in 2009. Prior to becoming a CPT-NSCA, Jon studied the unique Optimum Fitness training model for three years, serving as an apprentice under some of the most highly sought personal trainers in Omaha. A sporting enthusiast and family-man, Jon also volunteers his time as an assistance coach with the Millard South Youth Wrestling program.

Bryce Teager earned his Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science with an endorsement in coaching from Wayne State College and is currently working on his Master's Degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and a Certified Weightlifting Club Coach through (USAW). Bryce worked as a Strength and Conditioning coach at the University of Nebraska at Omaha for three years before joining the Optimum Fitness staff in 2006. At Wayne State, he was a 3 year starter in football, competed in track, and made the Dean's List for 8 semesters. He is a Two-time National Championship qualifier and holds 5 state records in the sport of Weightlifting. In addition to weightlifting, Bryce has competed in Powerlifting, Strongman events, Submission Wrestling, and Mixed Martial Arts. Bryce and his wife Christy are new parents of their daughter Zoe.

Troy Watchorn is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the NSCA and has more than 8 years of experience developing and implementing youth sports programs. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2001 with a B.S in Exercise Science and received the Tom Noval Nebraska Senior Award for his athletics achievements as the Husker’s free safety from 1996-2001. Also a solid student, Watchorn was a five-time member of the Big 12 honor rolls and earned first-team academic All-Big 12 honors.

Travis Houck understands first hand the results that can be achieved through Optimum Fitness’ unique training style. At age 14, Travis started training with OF and spent several years honing his knowledge of the industry. Inspired by his trainer, Pat Pilege, Travis decided to pursue a career in health and wellness and graduated from Peru State with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a B.S. in Business Marketing. Upon graduation, he was eager to join our staff and make a difference in the lives of his clients. Travis is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA.

Paul Potts is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with the NSCA and is currently pursuing a degree in Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska, Omaha. Paul offers a broad spectrum of experience ranging from general nutrition to helping people reduce body fat and increase lean muscle mass. Always looking to continue his education and further expand his expertise, Paul anticipates becoming a certified Hard-Style Kettlebell instructor in August of 2010.
